NAUGHTY?!??
OR NICE?!?!?
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house...
not a creature was stirring not even our mouse....
not a creature was stirring not even our mouse....The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there
The children were (soon to be!!) nestled all snug in their beds

Me in my flannels and Nelson in his hat had just settled in for a long winter's nap..not quite! No rest for the weary!
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter
Coffee, sticky buns and breakfast made in a flash,
a holiday brunch and a bible study bash
The morning sun shining on a the non-Dallas snow
gave the lustre of midday to MANY toys below
when what to my wondering eyes should appear
then Kennedy's miniature friends and their moms so dear
the dancing and singing of each little hoof
As we celebrated and partied with family around
down the chimney grandaddy's birthday came with a bound!
My other grandad was dressed in my bow from his head to his foot
our lunch was grand and their new home showed no signs of ashes or soot

Santa's eyes how they twinkle! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses his nose like a cherry!
He had a broad face and a round little belly
My Uncle Maxi took me to see his bowl full of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old self
and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
and filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk
and laying his finger aside of his nose
he gave me a "hook' em" and up the chimney he rose
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle
and away they all flew like the down of a thistle
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!!
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God and saying Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace good will towards men.
