Happy 2009

We had such a special Christmas and in many ways it felt like Kennedy's first considering last year she was only 10 days old! Let the Christmas marathon begin as we celebrate the most special time of the year.....
All of the family gathers for the Christmas eve service at Gran and Grandaddy's church and then a big turkey dinner back at their house!
Our little family of THREE!

Shes very good at giving kisses. If you say "can I have a kiss" she will lean in with a WIDE open mouth and smooch you!
After patiently waiting Grandaddy to carve the turkey and all the grown ups to hurry up and finish eating, Kennedy was the first to open a gift! As you can tell she is VERY excited and didn't need any instructions after lots of bday gift practice!
All the girls which of course includes Tinkerbell!!

JA and Emmy were just as excited as Kennedy to let the unwrapping begin!

We always give Grandaddy a special gift every year..this year it was a black and white photo of Kenendy with her blue eyes and the orange longhorn on her dress in color! He loved it!
Sugar always finds the creative and fun gifts...heres to dancing Dirks!
Kennedy's most favorite gift of all ;) milk, pj's and mamaw's arms!

Aunt Birdie liked the night gown that I gave her and wore it to our slumber party!
Ok let me explain the following pictures...its called slumber party of 8 grandkids and one snoring uncle all in one room! Kennedy had the best "crib" in the house as she slept peacefully and quietly downstairs! On the other hand, we had a good time sleeping in tradition all together and listening for the reindeer on the roof!

The lineup...we all look a little tired! Rise and shine its Christmas morning!
Please take note of the pink BB gun that Santa slipped into the pile! The shopping cart and play house door are a favorite as well as the wagon!! Santa always brought me a Madame Alexander doll and this year he brought Kennedy Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

I love when Sugar sings to me and she's always SO very entertaning! We always count on her to get a fun game for all of us to play that morning.  This year it was Deal or no Deal and we have quite the competitive bunch!
Santa took a bite out of the cookies we left out and he made it in a smiley face.  He wrote me a note that said he always likes to do that and he especially like my store bought cookies because he gets tired of homemade ones! hee hee perfect for my mom!

Christmas day we head over to the Wood's house for more celebrating! This year all of the brothers were in town and it was extra special watching Kennedy and Gaia play together!

Santa came to visit again...what a treat! I love my piano that has a little matching bench! Kennedy and Gaia had so much fun playing together!
We all just sat around in a circle and were entertained by these two all afternoon! All of the Wood boys played soccer but I dont think they had a pink ball!
Daddy and Uncle Asher with their girls!

Asher painted this beautiful portrait of Gaia
Kennedy helps Uncle Taylor ;) because we know he couldn't do it without her! Please take note Kennedy is wearing a pj shirt by now because she is getting FOUR teeth at once and her shirt is full of drool!
My big Olivia came over to play with her "baby Kennedy" and we enjoyed turkey and mashed potatoes with all of the cousins, aunts, uncles and Grandmama and Grandaddy.
The fast way I eat vegetables!
Enjoying some girl time in the front yard!

At the end of the long day we put on our pajamas and eat pizza and have a special Christmas with Mamaw! Papa is very excited about my matching bike helmet and I gave him a little seat that I can ride in on the back of his bike! yippee!

We went to the Gaylord  to see the trains and the ICE!
The colored ice sculptures were amazing. We bundled up in big blue parkas to stay warm! They even had giant ice slides to go down! On the way out we stopped by the life size ginger bread house and I wanted to eat it all up!

Two peas in a pod..please notice how much alike they are!

I had fun walking around the white Christmas trees and seeing all of the Christmas decorations.

A sight we rarely see these days...I think we can say she enjoyed it to the fullest and thoroughly wore herself out!
Happy 2009!
We brought in the new year with mexican food and a movie...a night and a year to remember!
