What a fun filled Christmas with our little June Bug!

This was the white Christmas we all dream about! It was a snowy blizzard and Daddy was getting our car ready so we could head to church for the Christmas Eve service.
After several birthday celebrations last week and the Christmas present excitement that keeps on going, June Bug definitely has the present opening thing down by now! Every gift is accompanied by "happy to you!!!" She said the Christmas prayer before dinner and it was so cute with her little eyes closed as tight as they can go and her hands squeezed together. As mamaw said, it will long be a sight I wont forget..I love that image frozen in my memory of her! She was holding a candy cane and she said "God our Father, God our Father thank you for a blessing, and a candy cane, amen!

This was an actual photograph of Darrell K Royal stadium that I gave Grandaddy for Christmas! He was so funny with his magnifying glass trying to see if you could see our crew at the game in our seats! He actually had Gran's vanity mirror out looking!
Santa was very good to June Bug this year! Im sure its because been nice and not naughty! I think the theme was pink, pink, pink and baby dolls! Her favorite is her new pink corvette which she wants to drive to school and she mostly enjoys playing the music!

Checking out Gran's fountain on the deck that was frozen from the ice! Daddy helped her crush icicles and lick them too! Christmas day was so much fun! We all sat around and watched June Bug play with all of her toys for hours on end. She really got into it this year and definitely knew what was going on! We had Grandaddy's delicious Christmas breakfast, played fun games with all of the cousins and then went to the movies!

We always end Christmas with a special night with Mamaw and opening gifts at Sugar and Papa's house. Maxi and I laugh because we pull out our oldest pj's (usually some tca shirt or scary old college shirt or in Nellie's case hes even been known to wear my pj pants ;)) and we lounge around with pizza and a fire. Its always so much fun and one of my favorite times of the year! Sugar's house is always decorated so incredibly and its so warm and cozy! Its like a winter wonderland! June Bug loves all of the lights and the singing figurines and was especially inot the tree which has lots of singing ornaments! There is a cute little toy train and carnival scene under the tree that she stares at for hours! Mamaw always stays for a few days after Christmas and we get to enjoy her famous cream of wheat and eggs, and watch the cowboy game at night with her and we just love having that time with her.

Giving mommy's old baby doll a back rub! She loves this doll in particular and seems to like her dolls with no clothes on as outfit of choice! She gets out the diapers, wipes and lotion and takes good care of them!
Mamaw loves to help her little angel...dress and undress the babies over and over again!
One of the fun things we did over Christmas was load up in the car with Gran and head to Nevada where she and Grandaddy grew up..they were born just houses apart! I loved hearing all of Gran's stories which are quite entertaining and we had such a good time driving through the small towns and reliving the memories of her childhood! I can remember when we used to have Christmas out at her parent's house and I always loved going to see Flossie. I always get that same feeling when I drive into her neighborhood..just filled with good memories!
Pretty much the best spot in the whole house and eating ice cream straight from the carton...life doesnt get much better than this!
We all went to see the Ice at the Gaylord with the Campbells (yeah for Brodie, Tristan and Savannah), CiCi, Sugar, JoDo, Emmy and even Daddy, Papa and Maxi took the day off of work! All the kids looked so funny waddling around in these huge parkas!
June Bug did the ice slide all by herself! It was so cute...at first she went really slowly and then she picked up some speed and zipped down! Prego mommy followed not too far behind!
The ice was amazing this year and the theme was the Grinch! It was freezing cold and June Bug looked like a little eskimo who couldnt move!

The Brady Bunch Wreath!
